Hi, I’m DEIMANTE JAUGAITE.
I’m a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, with pre-accredited membership of IACP and hold a BA (Hons) degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling. I work with individuals, couples, families and groups in English and Lithuanian in person and online.
I am an integrative psychotherapist, which means I draw on techniques and theories from different schools of psychotherapy, including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), psychoanalysis, person-centred therapy, Gestalt, somatic psychotherapy, and more. By blending elements from these approaches, I can respond flexibly to each client’s unique needs.
My approach is tailored and holistic. Rather than applying a “one size fits all” model, I adapt methods to the individual. This way of working considers emotional, cognitive, relational, and behavioural experiences, helping therapy feel relevant, supportive, and effective for you.
my journey
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked full-time in corporate and retail banking. While building my career in finance, I pursued my passion for psychotherapy, completing a BA (Hons) in Psychotherapy and Counselling in 2023. Over the four years of my part-time degree, my love for psychotherapy only grew. In the third year, during my first clinical placement working directly with clients, all my expectations were confirmed—it was the perfect profession for me. Therapy sessions were never a chore; even after full days in banking, I looked forward to my client sessions with excitement and dedication. It was then I knew: this is my path, and I would build my practice no matter what.
Since completing my degree, I have spent the last two years building my practice while continuing to grow as a therapist. I take a forward-thinking and proactive approach in my work, bringing both practical insight and empathetic understanding to support clients in navigating stress, relationships, and personal growth.
I know what it’s like to actively work towards your dream for six years—four years completing my degree and two years building my practice—while working full-time. I also know what it feels like to grieve someone close, to move countries, and to adapt and thrive in new circumstances. I am passionate about life, determined, and resilient, and I bring that energy into my work as a psychotherapist. Join therapy with me because, as Paul Valéry said, "The best way to make your dreams come true is to wake up." Together, we can work towards meaningful change and personal growth.
